Salmon & Poached Egg Salad

When it’s 100+ outside, it’s not only refreshing to eat a clean, clear salad, it can balance us when the heat throws us for a loop. On June 30, 2013 the above was the prescription for this Pitta. That and a crazy-fragrant Torrentes by Alamos.

There were a bit more of bits on the plate (no, neither the salmon nor the egg were …tomato red), mostly sourced from the backyard and Paul’s Produce in Sonoma.

I’m happy to share the various and sundry ingredients, but you better ask me soon. I rarely remember the exact ingredients of impromptu culinary creations. (Maybe more salmon will help me there?)

The Azzaro Zin I picked up today is simply delectable. With Mike the Baker’s (Bekjr) lovely loaf of perfect European style bread, some Sonoma Valley grapes, and of course some cheese…I’m content this World Series Eve.
